So you've listened to part 1.......you listened to part 1 right?.....RIGHT?!? Ok cool, just checking. But last week we left you on a cliffhanger. We ended the episode by talking about a book , the "Rubaiyat", that matched the missing scroll removed from it's back page but also had a mysterious phone number written down as well. The number belonged to a nurse named Jessica Thomson. Who, coincidently enough, lived only 1,3000 feet away from where the Somerton Man's dead body was found. This week we get into who this nurse was, what role she may have played in the Somerton Man's life/death, and some theories floating around the internet that may have both her and the Somerton Man pegged as spies. We also take a look at the work of Derek Abbot who has advanced the investigation of this cold case in recent years. He's also championed the movement to have the Somerton Man's remains exhumed for DNA analysis for potential identification. As well as his strong commitment to this case ....so strong that he ended up marrying the Somerton Man's (potential) granddaughter.

This week we take a lot at one of Australia's most infamous unsolved mysteries. The Somerton man AKA The "Tamam Shud" Case. This case is about a mysteries body that was found on Somerton Beach December 1, 1948. The body found has NEVER been identified but the more investigators researched this body...THE STRANGER the case has become. Cypher Codes, Persian suicide poetry, Spy vs Spy love triangle, male ballerinas, undetectable poisons, and PASTRIES!! (good heavens!)
But seriously this case was so jammed packed that we decided to split it into 2 parts!. We introduce the basics on this episode and wrap it all up next week!

The 80's were a strange time. It seems like every fast food chain had it's own quirky mascot that sooner or later took a strangle hold of pop culture. Eventually these mascots would appear on cereals, tv shows, toy stores, comic books and video games. Dominos Pizza however, had the absolute KING of these goofy mascots.....THE NOID. The Noid was a buck toothed trouble maker with (for whatever reason) a red bunny suit on who would try RUIN your PIZZA or keep the good people at Dominos from delivery your food in 30 minutes or Less! "How Rude" -Michelle Tanner. The long and short of it...he was an annoying ass hole that sold a lot of Pizza and Merch. However, one man....Kenneth Lamar Noid, believed there was something more to this gimmick than selling bargain pies. Kenneth Lamar Noid believed that Dominos' CEO, Tom Monaghan, created and implemented The Noid and the "Avoid the Noid" catch phrase to harass him personally. He also believed Kenneth would break in to his home at night, rearrange his belongings, watch him sleep, and steal his food.....yikes! To see how this story ends....you could watch a youtube video (preferably ours) BUT maybe you should do the Lord's work and listen to us today!!

This week we head up north to the great country of Canada. For 10,000 years indigenous people have told terrifying stories of a secluded valley of land known as the Nahanni Valley... later The Nahanni National Forest. They told stories of a cursed land full of evil spirits, demons, bear/wolf creatures, giants, and Sasquatch like men . Later on these stories would be shared with prospectors coming in to the area in search of gold. At first these stories were shrugged off as folklore to divert prospectors from infringing upon the ancient native land. But then a series of gold miners turned up dead .. . ALL with their heads missing. Is there some kind of logical explanation for this? Or is this land truly and utterly CURSED?

There's only so many serial killer docs, wild internet tales, and BS conspiracies we can stomach before we say "Hey dud I need a break from all of this crazy podcast stuff we cover". So this week we go back to being normal bros for a second and talk some FOOTBALL.
Ah Yes ....the NFL season is upon us (The first preseason games just finished while we were recording this show) and we couldn't be any more excited! We go division to division and give our predications as well as rate and review some of the off season moves. If you're listening to this show in real time...it's August 8th, 2021. The Tokyo Olympic Games have just concluded and every thing in these Covid times have gone as well as they could have gone given the circumstances. However, back in 1996 during the Atlanta Olympic Games...that was not the case. During the early morning hours of July 27, 1996, Richard Jewell a security guard for Centennial Park , noticed a suspicious backpack placed under a bench by the sound tower during a concert for Mack Jack and the Heart Attack. He alerted the GBI and ATF who investigated the backpack and determined it was bomb that was ready to go off at any moment. Richard and the rest of the authorities scrambled to get as many people away from the venue as possible. During the evacuation the pipe bomb exploded injuring 111, directly killing 1, and indirectly killing another. Although there was massive damage and many people were hurt, Richard potentially saved thousands from CERTAIN death due to his watchful eye.....however the FBI and the Media did not see him as the hero of this story. They would paint him as the ACTUAL bomber and survey him and his mother for 88 days until they were able to use actual evidence to clear his name. In June of 2000 Deftones released their 3rd , and many consider their BEST, album....."White Pony". The week of this recording was the 21st anniversary of this album and we decided to discuss this classic with non other than the "Rock N Roll Beer Guy" himself, Mr. Eddy Torres .
