Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. Today's topic is no exception. Today Art and I tell you about the Turpin family. Back in 2018 the news world was abuzz after 17 year old Jordan Turpin placed an infamous 9-1-1 call detailing the abuse of herself and her siblings. Eventually authorities would discover that multiple children were shackled to their beds, starved, and left to live in their own excrements while mother and father enjoyed lavish trips to Disneyland, Las Vegas, and many other luxuries. The Parents were arrested and eventually sentenced to life in prison....and the children lived happily ever after...or so we all thought. It wasn't until "20/20" and Diane Sawyer daughter up with two of the Turpin daughters to discover that the 13 children who escaped parental hell were being put there another kind of hell....which was the system that was SUPPOSED to take care of them. Crazy topic this week guys...like Art says at the end "Try to be a little nicer to someone this week"

This week we're taking a look at one of music history's most controversial times in history. This week we're talking about a sub genre of metal that spanned from 1994-2003 . What began as a unique cornucopia of sounds that combined elements from many different genres and reinvented the wheel in many ways...ended up sounding like what flat Mountain Dew tastes like in a garbage can in a trailer park in West Virginia This was a fun episode to make as well as research...so spike that hair up, bust out the Jnco jeans, and turn that hat backwards mister! This week we've got another great true crime story to tell! This week we're covering the unsolved murder....let me say that again for the people in the back....unsolved MURDER... of Christopher Jenkins. I got a little extra there because the Minneapolis police had concluded Chris's death to be a result of a suicide. But that didn't sit well with the parents of Chris! They hired a private investigator who uncovered massive amounts of evidence that pointed to FOUL PLAY! This one's kind of a roller coaster folks!
