Time has been a mutha .. .for both Art and Myself this past week so we're going to keep things more entertaining this week as we hit you with a classic movie review.
We've done this time of thing before in the past with classic albums and have done movie reviews for films that were in theaters (as of the recording of those episodes). But, we've NEVER sat down and reviewed a classic movie that's been out for a few years already.
We decided to review "Parasite", a South Korean film by director Bong Joon-ho that won the 2019 Palm D'or at Cannes and the Academy Award for Best Picture at the 92nd Academy Awards. It is a story about 2 families who are in different economic classes who are using the other to fill in what they are missing in their lives....I mean really it's about way more than that but on the surface , to quote Joon-ho, it's a "FAMILY MOVIE"...
Art had never seen it and Jacob was CURIOUS to see if he stayed on brand and HATED it . But you'd be surprised by his response.

We all know about the drug "CRACK". If you're around our age you're also aware of the effects that drug had in our communities (particularly African American communities).
What if I told you this epidemic was an unfortunate result of the CIA turning a blind eye to Nicaraguan drug traffickers bringing TONS of cocaine in to America to help fund the CIA backed Contras in their country? Seems far fetched right?
Well thanks to investigative journalist Gary Webb's research and 3-part article titled "Dark Alliance" this became more "Conspiracy Fact" than "Conspiracy theory" .
There would be tremendous blow back by the Federal Government as well as well as the mainstream media who black ball Gary from the industry and lead him to his untimely suicide....or murder....
